ABOUT MARV QUINTON

MarvOldPen

Marv Quinton, a Boise resident, sings and plays guitar, mandolin and bass. He was an elementary school teacher and principal for thirty years in the Idaho Falls area. Born into a sixth-generation Idaho family, Marv spent most of his life in eastern Idaho. He is deeply steeped in the musical and historical traditions of Idaho and has contributed these influences to many popular groups in Idaho and Alaska. These groups include Knee Deep, Swing High, South Fork, Lost Riders and Buckhorn Mountain Boys. His playing can be heard on the following recordings:

Marv is currently working on a project to provide 4th grade students recorded songs and stories to liven up their study of Idaho history.
