BONA FIDE and FRIENDS -
LIVE AT THE OLD IDAHO PEN!
In October 8, 2006 in cooperation with the Idaho State Historical Society, Bona Fide played a public concert within the walls of the old Idaho Territorial Penitentiary in Boise. Prisoners were housed in this historic facility for over a hundred years beginning in 1870 until it was closed after riots in 1973. Bona Fide played many songs related to the prison and its inmates at the concert. Several live recorded songs from the event have been preserved in tracks on the Ballads of the Owyhee Country CD. Three other songs from the concert appear on a mini-CD included in the Spring/Summer edition of Idaho Yesterdays, the official publication of the Idaho State Historical Society.
