Golden Arrow (1909, Harry Williams and Egbert Van Alstyn). This song was recorded in 1909 by Frank Stark and Henry Burr on an Edison Cylinder on the "Indestructible" label. The song is in the collection of the University of California-Santa Barbara Cylinder Preservation and Digitization Project. The song is typical of the outlandishly romanticized and distorted views of Native Americans, and the west in general, portrayed in song at the turn of the last century. You can hear this recording by going to the following web page, searching on "Golden Arrow", and following the links to the MP3 file.
